Ms Rachel
Hi there! I’m Rachel, founder of Ms. Rachel’s Jam — a small-batch, flavor-forward preserves company based on passion, creativity, and a lot of love.
About five years ago, I was deep in the hustle of corporate life, managing a busy grocery store and thriving in the world of food, people, and big business. But after having my second child, I made the life-changing decision to “retire” from that world and become a full-time, overly dedicated stay-at-home mom. I loved being with my kids — but like many moms, I found myself searching for something that was just for me.
That’s when I discovered the magic of canning. One afternoon, my wonderful mother-in-law, who grows some of her own produce, introduced me to the art of preserving. I was instantly hooked.
I started simple — with a pepper jelly — and before I knew it, I was dreaming up bold new flavors and sharing jars with friends. What started as a hobby quickly became something more. Friends began asking me to bring jam to every gathering, and eventually, the orders started rolling in. Their encouragement gave me the confidence to take the leap and get licensed.
Today, Ms. Rachel’s Jam can be found at local farmers markets and farm stands — proudly handmade, with no artificial preservatives or additives. From jams and jellies to pickles and preserves, everything I make is rooted in joy, community, and a deep love for real food.
What began as a simple joy of hosting and sharing with loved ones has grown into a labor of love — crafting small-batch, locally made products that add a flavorful twist to any snack board, sandwich, or celebration.
